Products found to contain undeclared medicines

Canada: Foreign Product Alert: 27 unauthorized sex enhancement and weight loss products were found to contain undeclared medicines

Health Canada announced that the following foreign health products have been found by regulators in other countries to contain undeclared drug ingredients. The products are not authorized for sale in Canada and have not been found in the Canadian marketplace but it is possible they may have been brought into the country by travellers or purchased over the Internet.

The unauthorized health products were found to contain the following undeclared ingredients:

1) Unauthorized sexual enhancement products
• Anaconda Strong Formula, Ant Power tablets, Boss-Rhino Gold X-tra Strength, De Guo Hei Bei (徳国黑倍), Libigirl, Man King capsules, Power Spring (XXX) Oral Liquid, Shangai Ultra X, Super Shangai, The Golden Root, Weili (一炮到天亮 or Yi Pao Dao Tian Liang), and Ziyinzhuangyang: undeclared sildenafil
• Golden Ant tablets: undeclared sildenafil and chloramphenicol

2) Unauthorized weight loss products
• Adelganzantes R-II, Double S, Mang Luk Power Slim, Mi Show Slimming capsules, Xcelerated Weight Loss Charged Up, and Xcelerated Weight Loss Turbo Charge: undeclared sibutramine
• B-finn: undeclared orlistat and 2-(diphenylmethyl) pyrrolidine (desoxy-D2PM)
• Citrus’ Fit, Mang Luk Power Slim Detox, Slim Fit X, Ultimate Lean: undeclared sibutramine and desmethylsibutramine
• Maxx Easy: undeclared sibutramine and lorcaserin, and orlistat
• Xcelerated Weight Loss Ultra Max: undeclared phenolphthalein and sildenafil
• Zi Xiu Tang Beauty Face and Figure Capsule: undeclared phenolphthalein and fluoxetine

Consumers are advised to consult with a healthcare professional if they have health concerns related to the use of any of these products.
