Health Canada announces that ALK-Abello Pharmaceuticals Inc. is recalling 2 lots of Allergenic Extract Non Pollens – Pecan Nut Liquid (lot number: 0004073288, 0004296143) from healthcare establishments because the affected lots may result in a false negative for skin test (pecan nut allergy).

In Hong Kong, the above product is not a registered pharmaceutical product.
On 5 Sep 2023, the Department of Health endorsed Ksena Healthcare Limited (Ksena) to recall a batch of skin test reagent for allergy to pecan nut, namely Allergenic Extract – Pecan Nut (Food) (batch number: 0003963971) due to potential quality issue. The product was imported for the treatment of particular patient by registered medical practitioner through Ksena. A recall statement was posted on the Drug Office website on the same date.
