| China: CFDA announcement regarding revision of package insert of praziquantel tablet |

In Hong Kong, there are two registered pharmaceutical products containing praziquantel for human use, namely Biltricide Tab 600mg (HK-25428) and Distocide Tab 600mg (HK-37803). The above are known serious adverse reactions and contraindications of praziquantel, which have been documented in reputable overseas drug literatures such as "Martindale : The Complete Drug Reference". So far, the Department of Health (DH) has not received any adverse drug reaction report related to praziquantel. DH will continue to monitor the safety update on praziquantel by other overseas drug regulatory authorities, and take appropriate follow-up action when necessary.
