| Singapore: Recall of Ikervis Eye Drops, Emulsion 1mg／ml |

Health Sciences Authority (HSA) announces that Santen Pharmaceutical Asia Pte Ltd is recalling one lot of Ikervis Eye Drops, Emulsion 1mg/ml (ciclosporin) (lot number: 9N20P) to the retail level. This lot was found to contain particulate matter during testing due to crystallisation of the active ingredient. As a precautionary measure, the affected batch is recalled. Patients who use the affected eye drops may get lesser relief of their symptoms or experience transient eye discomfort due to the particles.

In Hong Kong, Ikervis Eye Drops, Emulsion 1mg/ml (HK-65076) is a pharmaceutical product registered by Santen Pharmaceutical (Hong Kong) Limited (Santen). The product is a prescription-only medicine. As confirmed with Santen, the above affected lot has not been imported into Hong Kong. Related news was previously issued by various overseas drug regulatory authorities, and was posted on the Drug Office website since 27 Aug 2021, with the latest update posted on 19 Nov 2021.
