Canada: Recall: Naloxone Take Home Kit With Drug Ampoule: Update |
|
Health Canada announces that Canadian Hospital Specialties Ltd. doing business as CHS is recalling Naloxone Take Home Kit With Drug Ampoule (updated as on 23 Jul 2024 to be more than 10 lot numbers).
This product contains the TEVA Naloxone Spray and the product monograph for the TEVA product indicates that it should be re-administered in 2-3 minutes whereas the "SAVE ME" card indicates that re-administration should occur in 5 minutes. As this is conflicting information and can cause confusion, CHS will revise the insert to reflect the 2-3 min requirement per the TEVA monograph.
