| The United Kingdom: Voluntary recall of USA-manufactured homeopathic products: check for affected products |

Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) announces that certain batches of four homeopathic products manufactured in the USA have been voluntarily recalled by HelloLife Inc. due to possible microbial contamination.
While the products, manufactured in the USA by King Bio Inc., are not licensed for use in the UK and are not known to be available in UK outlets, they were distributed worldwide and may be advertised on online shopping or pharmacy websites and available to UK consumers.
The products affected are Neuroveen (batch: NV/030717D), Respitrol (batch: RE/030717E), Thyroveev (batch: TVV/030717F) and Compulsin (batch: CO/030717B). According to HelloLife Inc., Neuroveen was tested and found to be contaminated with Staphylococcus saprophyticus and Burkholderia cepacia. Compulsin was tested and found to be contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia. Respitrol and Thyroveev are still pending bacterial identification. The voluntary recall of these products is part of a wider recall of a number of products manufactured in the USA by King Bio Inc. due to possible microbial contamination.
Anyone who has bought unlicensed homeopathic products online should not use them and return them to pharmacy for disposal.

Related news on products by King Bio Inc. was previously issued by US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Health Canada, and was posted on the Drug Office website on 21 Jul 2018, 23 Aug 2018, 29 Aug 2018, 30 Aug 2018, 3 Sep 2018, 7 Sep 2018 and 14 Sep 2018.
The Department of Health (DH) advises that people who have purchased the products should stop taking them immediately. They should consult healthcare professionals if they are in doubt or feeling unwell.
