Subsequent to previous announcement of alcohol products recall, FDA listed detail information including name of various brands of alcohol swabsticks, alcohol swabs, alcohol prep swabs, alcohol prep pads and alcohol prep pads with benzocaine involved in their recent enforcement report. This is a nationwide and internationally recall due to concerns of potential contamination of Bacillus cereus.

In Hong Kong, there is no record of registration for alcohol prep pads with benzocaine. Other news related to alcohol products recall were posted on the website of Pharmaceutical Service on 13 January 2011, 17 January 2011, 21 January 2011, 25 January 2011, 27 January 2011, 29 January 2011, 1 February 2011, 2 February 2011 and 12 February 2011.
