The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) announces that Strathclyde Pharmaceuticals Ltd is recalling a single batch of Xarelto 20mg film-coated tablets (rivaroxaban) (Batch Number: BXHHDR1; Expiry Date: 09/2019; Pack Size: 28 tablets) because of reports of rogue blister strips of 15mg tablets within two packs of 20mg tablets. The labelling on one side of the blister strips reflects the correct strength of the tablets.

In Hong Kong, Xarelto Tab 20mg (HK-61395) is a pharmaceutical product registered by Bayer Healthcare Ltd (Bayer), and is a prescription only medicine. As confirmed with Bayer, the affected batch has not been imported into Hong Kong.
