Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) announces that Glaxo Wellcome UK Limited is recalling two lots of Ventolin Accuhaler 200mcg (Salbutamol Sulfate, Lot Number: 786G and 754P, Expiry Date: 05-2019, Pack Size: 1 x 60 doses) because a manufacturing issue with these lots has been identified which has resulted in a small number of units not delivering the full number of doses.

In Hong Kong, Ventolin Accuhaler 200mcg (HK-42389) is a pharmaceutical product registered by GlaxoSmithKline Limited (GSK), and is a prescription-only medicine. Related news on the recall of lot 786G of the product was previously issued by Health Canada, and was posted on the Drug Office website on 20 Feb 2018. As confirmed with GSK, the affected batches (786G and 754P) have not been imported into Hong Kong.
