Singapore: Recall of Neuronox Lyophilized Powder for Injection 100 units/vial
 
The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) announces that Fondaco Pte Ltd is recalling all batches of Neuronox Lyophilized Powder for Injection 100 units/vial (Clostridium Botulinum Type A Toxin – Haemagglutinin Complex) to the retail level because the product may potentially have some quality issues which does not affect the safety of the product. However, as a precautionary measure, the company is voluntarily recalling the product from the market.

In Hong Kong, Neuronox Lyophilized Powder for Injection 100 units/vial is not a registered pharmaceutical product. Nevertheless, there is a registered pharmaceutical product containing Clostridium Botulinum Toxin Type A, Siax Injection 100 Units (HK-56847) which is manufactured by the same manufacturer. The Department of Health (DH) has contacted the registration certificate holder, Medytox HK Limited inquiring whether the recall in Singapore has any impact on the products marketed in Hong Kong, and their reply is pending. The DH will follow up the incident and take appropriate actions deemed necessary.
