| Singapore: Recall of Maltofer Drops (Iron) 50mg/ml |

Health Sciences Authority (HSA) announces that Vifor Pharma Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. is recalling 10 batches of Maltofer Drops 50mg/ml (iron as iron(III)-hydroxide polymaltose complex) (batch number: AAL15004, AAN38602, AAQ03703, AAR23702, AAT62303, AAZ24903, NAA13901, NAA44703, NAA75702, NAB45502) to the retail level due to presence of plastic particles from the dropper in some units of the affected batches.

In Hong Kong, Ferrum Hausmann Drops 50mg/ml (HK-36593) is a pharmaceutical product registered by Hong Kong Medical Supplies Ltd (HKMS). The product is an over-the-counter medicine.
On 17 Jun 2024, the Department of Health (DH) endorsed HKMS to recall 8 batches of Ferrum Hausmann Drops 50mg/ml (HK-36593) (batch number: AAL56301, AAM03804, AAP27103, AAR88304, AAT62402, AAW72104, NAA04302, NAA14002) from the market as a precautionary measure due to potential quality issue. A press statement was posted on the Drug Office website on the same date.
As confirmed by HKMS, the other 10 batches of product recalled in Singapore have not been imported into Hong Kong.
