In Hong Kong, the above product is not a registered pharmaceutical product. The drug regulatory authorities in Australia, the United States and Canada has issued related news, and the information was posted on the Drug Office website of the Department on Health (DH) on 20 March, 1 April and 3 April 2017 respectively. According to the records of the DH, Luen Cheong Hong Ltd (LCH) has previously imported Epipen 0.15mg and Epipen 0.3mg manufactured by Meridan Medical Technologies, Inc., the US for the treatment of particular patients. As confirmed with LCH, the affected batch of product in the Taiwan announcement has never been imported into Hong Kong. DH will monitor the development of the incident and will continue to liaise with the importers of Epipen products for timely follow-up action.
