The Department of Health of Hong Kong (DH) noted earlier that the Taiwan Food and Drugs Administration (TFDA) has announced the news, and related information was posted on the DH Drug Office website on 27 May 2016. Among the 202 products being recalled in Taiwan, 12 products are registered pharmaceutical products in Hong Kong. The registration certificate holder of nine of the products is Vast Resources Pharmaceutical Limited (Vast Resources); and holder of the other three products is Yat Seng Trading Co. (Yat Seng). Among the 12 products involved, eight products with the affected batch have been imported into Hong Kong. So far, DH has not received any adverse drug reaction case related to the products. On the same day, DH endorsed Vast Resources and Yat Seng to rcall the following eight affected products, and press release was issued:
1. Urodine F.C. tablets 100mg (registration number: HK-56569);
2. Dicokan tablets 30mg (HK-56102);
3. Toeefon tablets 250mg (HK-56387);
4. Shoren suppositories 12.5mg (HK-60943);
5. Molin tablets 10mg (HK-62483); and
6. Famoster Film Coated tablets 20mg (HK-62850) imported by Vast Resources; and
7. Lincomycin Solution for Injection 300mg/ml (Ta Fong) (HK-61712); and
8. Clindamycin capsules 150mg (HK-64191) imported by Yat Seng.
As previosuly reported, DH will closely monitor the recall.
