Health Canada announces that Fresenius Kabi Canada Ltd is recalling 2 lots of Cefazolin for Injection, USP Powder for Solution 100g / bag (lot number: 40228 00125, 40228 00135) because the affected lots are packaged with the incorrect Linear barcode on inner and outer bag labels.
The product is indicated in the treatment of infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infection, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, septicemia and endocarditis, when caused by susceptible strains of organisms.
