Health Canada announces that Sun Pharma Canada Inc. is recalling one lot of TARO-GLICLAZIDE MR 60mg Tablet (Extended-Release) (lot number: PTF5132A) from wholesalers and retailers because affected lot may contain the presence of pink coloured stain (identified as Candesartan Cilexetil).
The product is indicated for control of hyperglycemia in gliclazide responsive diabetes mellitus of stable, mild, non-ketosis prone, maturity onset or adult type which cannot be controlled by proper dietary management and exercise, or when insulin therapy is not appropriate.
