Canada: Recall: Semaglutide + Pyridoxine: produced with an unauthorized active pharmaceutical ingredient
 
Health Canada announces that Create Compounding Pharmacy is recalling Semaglutide 1mg/mL + Pyridoxine 15mg/mL in syringe or vial (lot number: N/A) and Semaglutide 2 mg/mL + Pyridoxine 30 mg/mL in syringe or vial (lot number: N/A) from end users because the products were produced with an unauthorized active pharmaceutical ingredient.

Semaglutide is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise, and may be given as monotherapy or combined with other antidiabetic drugs, including insulin, in patients who do not have adequate glycaemic control with standard therapy. Pyridoxine is used in the treatment and prevention of pyridoxine deficiency states.
