Health Canada announces that Maxill Inc. is recalling one lot of IPANA 20% BENCOCAINE TOPICAL GEL (ingredient: 20% benzocaine (4-aminobenzoic acid, ethyl ester); lot number: BNZ-01646) from dental offices because affected lot may contain the presence of metal contaminants.
Benzocaine is generally used as topical anesthetic.
