Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) announces that iNova Pharmaceuticals is conducting an urgent medicine recall of Tambocor 100 mg tablets (batch PTL20011) because the blister seal may be faulty. This may cause the foil to separate from the blister lid resulting in the potential exposure of multiple tablets to moisture, which may affect their safety or efficacy. 25 complaints have been received in relation to this issue to date.

In Hong Kong, Tambocor Tab 100mg (HK-24395) is a pharmaceutical product registered by Inova Pharmaceuticals (Hong Kong) Limited (Inova), and is a prescription-only medicine. As confirmed with Inova, the affected batch was imported into Hong Kong but never distributed to the local market.
