Health Canada announces that Becton Dickinson Canada Inc. is recalling BD ChloraPrep™ 1 mL Applicator – Clear (chlorhexidine gluconate 2% w/v, isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v) (lot number: 3200267, 3201277, 3214206, 3213779, 3215726, 3218277, 3219965, 3243338, 3243339, 3249401, 3249403, 3277389, 3277428, 3285433, 3285435, 3291949, 3303392, 3303396, 3307708, 3307710, 3311012, 3311014, 3314361, 3314364, 3332766, 3333166, 3333167, 3334641, 3334644, 3355527, 4003747, 4003753, 4004069) and ChloraPrep™ 1.5 mL Applicator – Clear (chlorhexidine gluconate 2% w/v, isopropyl alcohol 70% v/v) (lot number: 3167620, 3171115, 3177820, 3190812, 3201195, 3214890) from end users and healthcare establishments because product sterility is compromised in affected lots.
The products are patient preoperative skin preparations with sterile solution that deliver antimicrobial protection.
