Health Canada announces that Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Canada Inc. is recalling one lot of HeartGard 30 plus tablet (chewable) [Ivermectin 68 mcg, Pyrantel Pamoate 57 mg] (Lot number: D86121) from end users, distributors and healthcare establishments because the affected lot (68 mcg ivermectin/57 mg pyrantel pamoate) may contain a higher strength blister pack of 272 mcg ivermectin/227 mg pyrantel pamoate.

In Hong Kong, Heartgard Plus Chew Tab 68mcg/57mg (Vet) (HK-47900) is a pharmaceutical product registered by Merial Hong Kong Limited (Merial). The product is a prescription-only medicine. As confirmed with Merial, the affected lot has not been imported into Hong Kong.
