| The United States: Govvi WOW! contains hidden drug ingredient DMAA |

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is advising consumers not to purchase or use Govvi WOW!, a product promoted and sold for weight loss on various websites, and possibly in some retail stores.
FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Govvi WOW! contains undeclared DMAA (1,3-dimethylamylamine or methylhexanamine). The dietary supplement industry often refers to DMAA as “geranium extract”.
Use of DMAA can elevate blood pressure and could lead to cardiovascular problems, including heart attack, shortness of breath and tightening of the chest. Consumers who have experienced any negative side effects should consult a health care professional as soon as possible.
