| China: CFDA warns against the risk of liver damage associated with benzbromarone |

In Hong Kong, there are three registered pharmaceutical products containing benzbromarone. All of them are prescription-only medicines. The package inserts of the products have included the related safety information on the risk of liver damage. So far, the Department of Health (DH) has not received any adverse drug reaction report in relation to the drug. DH will keep vigilance against any safety updates of the drug.
