The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) announced that FDC International Ltd is recalling two batches of Sodium Cromoglicate 2% w/v 13.5 mL Eye Drops (PL15872/0010) (batch numbers: GJW6071 & GJW6072) as precautionary measure due to a precipitate observed in the bottles.
All remaining packs of the listed batches should be quarantined and returned to MPW, Quest 90, Quest Park, Wheatley Hall Road, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN2 4LT.

In Hong Kong, Allercrom Eye Drops 2% (HK-43613) is a pharmaceutical product containing sodium cromoglicate 2% w/v manufactured by FDC Limited. The product is registered by Star Medical Supplies Ltd (Star Medical) and is a pharmacy only medicine. As confirmed with Star Medical, the affected batches of sodium cromoglicate 2% w/v 13.5 mL eye drops have never been imported into Hong Kong.
