| China: Announcement by National Medical Products Administration on amendment of product insert of Calcium Gluconate Injection (2018 Issue no. 13) |

In Hong Kong, there are 2 registered pharmaceutical products which are calcium gluconate injection, namely 10% Calcium Gluconate Inj (B Braun) (HK-37887) and Calcium Gluconate Injection 1g/10ml (HK-64910), and are prescription-only medicines. The above revised contents of the product insert are similar to those contained in overseas reputable drug references such as the “Martindale: The Complete Drug Reference” and the package insert of the above-mentioned registered products. The Department of Health will remain vigilant on safety update of calcium gluconate injection issued by other overseas drug regulatory authorities.
