The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is advising consumers not to purchase or use Black Mamba Premium 18000, a product promoted for sexual enhancement and distributed by Bandera Ice House, and possibly other retail and online stores. FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Black Mamba Premium 18000 contains tadalafil, the active ingredient in Cialis, an FDA-approved prescription drug for erectile dysfunction. FDA approval of Cialis is restricted to use under the supervision of a licensed health care professional. This undeclared ingredient may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, such as nitroglycerin, and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. People with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease often take nitrates.
