The United States: FDA, FTC warn 10 companies illegally selling dietary supplements claiming to treat diabetes (English only) |

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) posted warning letters to 10 companies for illegally selling dietary supplements that claim to cure, treat, mitigate, or prevent diabetes, in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act). The FDA is urging consumers not to use these or similar products because they have not been evaluated by the FDA to be safe or effective for their intended use and may be harmful.
The warning letters were issued to the following companies (product name):
- Live Good Inc. (Berry Gen Sugar Control)
- Pharmaganics LLC (Diabetes Doctor Pre-Diabetes, Diabetes Doctor Blood Sugar 24 Hour)
- Lysulin Inc. (Lysulin Weight Loss Shake, Lysulin Diabetes and Prediabetes Chewables, Lysulin Diabetes and Prediabetes Liquid, Lysulin Diabetes and Prediabetes Capsules, Lysulin Diabetes and Prediabetes Powder)
- Nuturna International LLC (Diabetic Support Formula)
- Phytage Labs (GLUCOTYPE2)
- Ar-Rahmah Pharm LLC (Diabetes Support)
- Metamune Inc. (DiabetesSupport)
- Holistic Healer & Wellness Center Inc. (Diabalance Diabetes Supplement)
- Radhanite LLC (CuraLin)
- Aceva LLC. (Sugar Balance)
