The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is advising consumers not to purchase or use MAGNUM brand products sold for sexual enhancement across various websites and retail stores. FDA laboratory analysis has confirmed that MAGNUM brand products sold in various dosage forms including capsules and honey contain ingredients not listed on the product labels.
FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that MAGNUM XXL 300K Honey contains sildenafil and tadalafil not listed on the product label.
Sildenafil and tadalafil are the active ingredients in the FDA-approved prescription drugs Viagra and Cialis, respectively, used to treat erectile dysfunction. These may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. This is especially concerning for people with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease, who commonly take nitrate-containing medications.
