Health Canada: Foreign Product Alert: Reumofan Plus, Reumofan Plus Premium were found to contain undeclared prescription drugs diclofenac sodium, methocarbamol and/or Dexamethasone |

Health Canada advised consumers not to use Reumofan Plus and Reumofan Plus Premium as these products were found to contain undeclared prescription drugs diclofenac sodium, methocarbamol and/or dexamethasone. In Canada, diclofenac sodium and dexamethasone are prescription drug and should only be taken under the supervision of a healthcare practitioner while methocarbamol is available over-the-counter and by prescription. These products are promoted for treating arthritis, muscle pain, osteoporosis, bone caner and other conditions. Health Canada has received one adverse reaction report associated with the use of Reumofan Plus by a Canadian consumer who purchased this product outside of Canada. The patient experienced worsening of glucose control and swelling of the arms and legs after taking the product. Canadians who have this product are advised not to use it, and should consult with a health care professional if they have concerns about their health related to the use of this product.
