| Canada: Recall: PMS-Fluconazole 50 mg tablets: Incorrect quantity of tablets |

Health Canada announces that Pharmascience Inc. is recalling one lot of PMS-Fluconazole 50 mg tablets (lot number: 662615) from retailers because the affected lot may not contain the correct quantity of tablets.
The product is indicated for the treatment of oropharyngeal and esophageal candidiasis; treatment of serious systemic candidal infections, including urinary tract infection, peritonitis, and pneumonia; treatment of cryptococcal meningitis; and for prevention of the recurrence of cryptococcal meningitis in patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It is also indicated to decrease the incidence of candidiasis in patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation who receive cytotoxic chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.
