| Canada: Recall: ERYTHROMYCIN OPHTHALMIC OINTMENT USP: The sterility of the product could be compromised |

Health Canada announces that Steri-Med Pharma Inc. is recalling one lot of Erythromycin Opthalmic Ointment USP (lot number: 2024L02) from retailers because the sterility of the product could be compromised in the affected lot.
The product is indicated for the treatment of superficial ocular infections involving the conjunctiva and/or cornea caused by organisms susceptible to erythromycin and for the prophylaxis of ophthalmic neonatorum due to N. gonorrhoeae or C. trachomatis.
