Canada: Unauthorized prescription drug "Selekta Pregnenolone" sold online by A.N. Tyler Distributing may pose serious health risks
 
Health Canada is advising Canadians that "Selekta Pregnenolone," an unauthorized prescription product sold online at www.antyler.com, may pose serious health risks. Health Canada seized the product from the company, A.N. Tyler Distributing. Selekta Pregnenolone was being promoted for anti-aging, arthritis, depression, menopause, mental fatigue, premenstrual syndrome, prostate disorders, skin irritation, scleroderma stress, women's health and supporting the immune system.

Pregnenolone is a prescription drug that should only be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Pregnenolone can cause higher than normal levels of female and male hormones in the body and could increase the risk of prostate, breast, ovarian and other hormone-sensitive cancers. Pregnenolone should not be used by women who are pregnant or breast-feeding, and should be avoided by individuals who suffer from epileptic seizures or who are taking anti-seizure medications.
