Health Canada announces that Teva Canada Limited is recalling 4 lots of Teva 5-ASA tablet (aka MESALAMINE) (mesalazine 400 mg) (lot number: 100048018, 100037651, 100037650, 100053047) from retailers because the dissolution stability test is out of specification in the affected lots.
The product is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate active ulcerative colitis and the maintenance of remission of mild to moderate ulcerative colitis.
