Health Canada announces that Teva Canada Limited is recalling 7 lots of TEVA-Codeine Tablets (codeine phosphate 30mg) (lot number: 688579, 689203, 688771, 689154, 690234, 691161, 691891) from retailers and pharmacy due to an out of specification on friability test (broken tablet) during stability testing for affected lots.
The product is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain of various causes and the control of exhausting, nonproductive cough which does not respond to non-opioid antitussives.
