| Canada: Recall: Ozempic Solution: Cracked glass cartridges (English only) |

Health Canada announces that Novo Nordisk Canada Inc. is recalling two lots of Ozempic solution (Semaglutide 1.34 mg/mL) (lot number: RZFFE55, RZFFE56) from wholesalers and retailers because glass cartridges may be cracked in the affected lots.
The product is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and to reduce the risk of sustained eGFR decline, end-stage kidney disease, and cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease.

In Hong Kong, Ozempic Solution For Injection In 1.5 ml Pre-filled Pen 0.25mg/dose (HK-66485), Ozempic Solution For Injection In 1.5 ml Pre-filled Pen 0.5mg/dose (HK-66486) and Ozempic Solution For Injection In 3.0 ml Pre-filled Pen 1mg/dose (HK-66487) are pharmaceutical products registered by Novo Nordisk Hong Kong Ltd (Novo Nordisk). All products are prescription-only medicines. As confirmed by Novo Nordisk, the affected lots have not been imported into Hong Kong.
