Health Canada is recalling Oroclear – Chlorhexidine Gluconate solution 0.12% (lot no.: 51201, 51223, 51232, 51238 and 60415) due to failure in stability for Chlorhexidine Assay. The depth of distribution of the product is to retail dental physicians in Canada.
Health Canada classified the hazard level of the recall as Type III, i.e. a situation in which the use of, or exposure to, a product is not likely to cause any adverse health consequences.
According to Health Canada product information, the responsible company is Germiphene Corporation.
