| Canada: Recall: Dianeal PD4 CAPD Solution with 1.5% Dextrose and 2.5 MEQ／L Calcium (English only) |

Health Canada announces that Baxter Corporation is recalling one lot of Dianeal PD4 CAPD Solution with 1.5% Dextrose and 2.5 MEQ/L Calcium (lot number: W9G11T0) from end users because the affected lot was released to market without adequate testing.

In Hong Kong, there are 3 registered pharmaceutical products containing the same active ingredients as the above product recalled in Canada, namely DIANEAL LOW CALCIUM P.D.SOLN & 1.5%DEXT (HK-33172), DIANEAL LOW CA P.D.SOLN W/1.5% DEXTROSE (HK-42530) and DIANEAL LOW CALCIUM PERITONEAL DIALYSIS SOLUTION WITH 1.5% DEXTROSE (ULTRA BAG) (HK-62710). All products are registered by Baxter Healthcare Ltd (Baxter), and are prescription-only medicines. As confirmed with Baxter, the manufacturer of the product recalled in Canada is different from the Hong Kong products and therefore, the recall in Canada has no impact on the products marketed in Hong Kong.
