Australia: Safety advisory: Euro-Med Clomid tablets |

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has tested a product labelled Euro-Med Clomid tablets and found that the tablets contain the substance clomiphene at a strength lower than that described on the bottle. Euro-Med Clomid tablets (dose bottle) are not related to the TGA approved Sanofi-Aventis medicine Clomid (50mg clomiphene citrate; blister pack). The supply of Euro-Med Clomid tablets is illegal as they are considered to be counterfeit. TGA investigations have shown that a number of people in Australia may have bought the counterfeit Euro-Med product online. This product can be identified through its packaging labelled as Euro-Med, and is in a bottle. This medication warning does not apply to Clomid (Sanofi-aventis; blister pack) which is TGA approved in Australia.
