Australia: Recall: Brauer Baby & Child Teething Gel

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) announces that Brauer Natural Medicine is recalling 11 batches of its Baby & Child Teething Gel, 20g (batch number: 27266, 27268, 27272, 27264, 26846, 26848, 26850, 26852, 27185, 27187, 27189) due to the potential for a small plastic fragment from the tube rim being present in the gel.

The product is used to relieve teething pain, toothache and gum soreness. If present in the gel when applied to the infant’s gums, a small plastic fragment could cause discomfort or minor injury if not noticed by the parent/caregiver. In the worst-case scenario this may also pose a choking hazard.

Please refer to the following website in TGA for details: http://www.tga.gov.au/safety/market-actions/brauer-baby-child-teething-gel

In Hong Kong, the above product is not a registered pharmaceutical product.
