| Singapore: Recall of AA Pharma Hydroxyzine Capsule 10mg and 25mg |

Health Sciences Authority (HSA) announces that Pharmaforte Singapore Pte Ltd is recalling 5 batches of AA Pharma Hydroxyzine Capsule 10mg and 13 batches of AA Pharma Hydroxyzine Capsule 25mg to the retail level because the products were supplied with incorrect shelf-life. The affected batches are:
- AA Pharma Hydroxyzine Capsule 10mg: AW6213A, AW6448A, AW8160A, AW8161A, AW8177A
- AA Pharma Hydroxyzine Capsule 25mg: AW5757A, AW5758A, AW6084A, AW6875A, AW7380A, AW7456A, AW7457A, AW8338A, AW8516A, AW8644A, AW8645A, AW8646A, AW8647A
Hydroxyzine is used as an antiemetic, an anxiolytic, an adjunct to pre- and postoperative medication and in the management of pruritus and urticaria.

In Hong Kong, Apo-Hydroxyzine Cap 10mg (HK-39891) and Apo-Hydroxyzine Cap 25mg (HK-43483) are pharmaceutical products registered by Hind Wing Co Ltd (Hind Wing). Both products are prescription-only medicines.
In light of the above HSA announcement, Hind Wing conducted inspection and subsequently informed the Department of Health (DH) to voluntarily recall 1 batch of Apo-Hydroxyzine Cap 10mg (HK-39891) (batch number: AW6448A) and 7 batches of Apo-Hydroxyzine Cap 25mg (HK-43483) (batch number: AW5758A, AW6084A, AW7380A, AW7456A, AW7457A, AW8516A, AW8647A) from the market because of incorrect shelf-life. DH will issue a recall announcement and continue to monitor the product recall by Hind Wing.
