The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency announced that OPD Laboratories Ltd is recalling all remaining packs of one batch of the parallel distributed product Vimpat 150mg Tablets (Lacosamide), due to a labelling error (batch number: 8351104/4). The blister strips are incorrectly labelled as 50mg but the cartons are correctly labelled as 150mg.

In Hong Kong, Vimpat Tab 150mg (HK-61177) is registered by UCB Pharma (Hong Kong) Limited (UCB) and is a prescription-only medicine. According to UCB, the affected batch has not been imported into Hong Kong.
