Products found to contain undeclared medicines

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has tested Paiyouji Natural Slimming Capsules and found that it contains the undeclared prescription substance sildenafil despite the product label claim that it is made of herbal ingredients and contains no medicines. It also contains the undeclared substance phenolphthalein which was previously used as an oral laxative, but is no longer available in Australia due to serious safety concerns associated with its long term use. Consumers are advised to stop taking this product and take any remaining capsules to local pharmacy for safe disposal.
