The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has tested a product labelled as Zhen de shou fat loss capsule and found that it contains the undeclared ubstance phenolphthalein which was previously used as an oral laxative, but is no longer available in Australia due to serious safety concerns associated with its long term use. The supply of Zhen de shou fat loss capsule is illegal and TGA investigations have shown that people in Australia may have bought the product online.
Consumers are advised to stop taking the product and consult your health care practitioner if you have any concerns arising from your use of this product.
