Australia: Safety advisory: 3X Slimming Power capsule was found to contain undeclared substances sibutramine and phenolphthalein

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has tested 3X Slimming Power capsules and found that it contains the undeclared prescription substance sibutramine. Sibutramine was withdrawn in October 2010 after a study showed an increased risk of major cardiac events. It also contains the undeclared substance phenolphthalein which was previously used as an oral laxative, but is no longer available in Australia due to serious safety concerns associated with its long term use. Consumers are advised to stop taking 3X Slimming Power capsules and take any remaining capsules to their local pharmacy for safe disposal, and consult their healthcare practitioner if they have any concerns arising from their use of this product.

Please refer to the following website in TGA for details: http://www.tga.gov.au/safety/alerts-medicine-3x-slimming-power-capsules-140324.htm

In Hong Kong, the above product is not a registered pharmaceutical product.
