Australia: Safety advisory: Super Soniic Capsules contain strychnine and sildenafil |

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has tested a product labelled Super Soniic capsules and found that the capsules contain the poison strychnine. They also contain the undeclared substance sildenafil. Consumers are advised that the level of strychnine contained is above the threshold to be considered a prescription substance. The level detected is considered to be a dangerous poison in Australia. Consumers are advised that sildenafil is a prescription-only substance in Australia. TGA investigations have shown that a number of people in Australia may have bought the product online. Consumers should stop taking the product and take any remaining capsules to their local pharmacy for safe disposal. If they have any concerns arising from their use of this product, consult their health care practitioner.
